"We are thrilled to welcome Christine and Janet to our Board," said JuE Wong, Olaplex’s CEO. "They bring with them decades of experience in the beauty industry across a number of highly successful brands and will be instrumental in helping us achieve our growth plan."

Tricia Glynn, a Managing Director at Advent International, which acquired Olaplex in January 2020, noted, "Our vision for Olaplex aligns perfectly with what Christine and Janet have successfully achieved with other brands: excellence in product innovation and a relentless focus on our customers and communities."

"I am thrilled at the opportunity to join Olaplex’s Board during this exciting phase of its trajectory," said Dagousset. "I have been following Olaplex through its story and have great admiration for its product innovation."

As Global Long-Term Development Officer at Chanel, Dagousset is tasked with helping to prepare the iconic brand for the future of beauty through testing and innovation. Prior to that role, she served as Chanel’s Global President of Fragrances and Beauty in Paris, Executive Vice President, Fragrance and Beauty for the U.S., and Senior Vice President of Skincare worldwide. Dagousset has deep expertise in luxury and beauty, having been a key player for over two decades in driving the Chanel brand and helping to maintain the company’s leadership position.

"Olaplex has proven itself as a go-to brand for both stylists and consumers," said Gurwitch. "I look forward to helping build on the brand’s foundation as a board member."

Gurwitch has a seasoned track record of identifying and sourcing winners among emerging beauty brands. As an Operating Partner at Castanea Partners from 2009 to 2019, she was involved in several successful investments and strategic exits, including Urban Decay (acquired by L’Oréal in 2013), First Aid Beauty (acquired by P&G in 2018), Tatcha (acquired by Unilever in 2019), and Drybar (Products division acquired by Helen of Troy in 2019). In 1996, Gurwitch founded Laura Mercier, a prestige beauty brand, alongside makeup artist Laura Mercier.
