The City of Frisco is seeking residents interested in serving on a board or commission.
To be considered, everyone — including those currently serving and hoping to continue after their term expires — must apply online by the end of the month. The online application requires a resume and answers to four essay questions for each application.
Additionally, interested applicants must have lived in the city for at least one year and must be a qualified, registered voter.
Vacancies include:
- Four seats on the Board of Adjustment, otherwise known as the Construction Board of Appeals
- Two seats on the Community Development Corporation
- Six seats on the Visit Frisco Board, including a sports team representative, restaurant representative and hotel representative
- Three seats on the Downtown Advisory Board
Positions will begin Oct. 1 and last for two years with the exception of the planning and zoning commission, community development corporation board and economic development corporation board. More information on the various positions is available on the city’s website.
The City Council will appoint representatives at the Sept. 15 council meeting.
