Leah Fisher
Leah is a family law attorney at Hanft Fride, PA, representing individuals in a broad range of matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, adoption, and other general family matters. Prior to joining Hanft Fride, Leah worked for the Volunteer Attorney Program in Duluth, providing pro bono legal services to low-income individuals in the community. She continues to work as a volunteer attorney and has been recognized by the Minnesota State Bar Association for her commitment to providing pro bono representation. Leah earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, Superior, and her law degree at Seattle University School of Law.

Susan Goltz, M.D.
Born and raised in North Dakota, Susan has been practicing medicine at St. Luke’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates since 1992. She received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Dakota and did her residency in St. Paul. Susan is married to Stan, and they have two sons, John and David. She is a lifelong reader and library supporter who enjoys travel, outdoor sports, cabin life, and knitting. Has served on the Board since 2019.

Gerri Williams
Gerri Williams grew up in Minneapolis. After working in editorial positions at two large publishers, she joined the U.S. State Department as a Foreign Service Officer. In her career in public affairs, she also administered the Fulbright educational research and exchange programs, as well as American libraries in U.S. embassies overseas. Gerri received her Master’s degree in Communication and International Affairs from Trinity University in Washington, D.C. She and her husband, Ray, made the happy decision to move to Duluth in 2013. Gerri is an active member of the Duluth League of Women Voters. As chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Centenary committee, Gerri planned and coordinated a year of public events related to social justice and democracy in the Twin Ports. Gerri considers the Duluth Public Library one of our city’s most valuable, inclusive, and affirming resources and an asset to be cherished and supported. Has served on the Board since 2019.

Carla Powers, Library Manager, serves as a Member Ex Officio. Patra Sevastiades is the Executive Director of the Foundation.

The Foundation regretfully acknowledges the departure of board members Bill Arezzo, Dena Boheim, and John Kelly.
