I hope to bring energy and pride to the board for many years to come,” said Hamper.

Also during the annual meeting, new officers were elected for the 2020-21 fiscal year and outgoing board member Nikki Workman was thanked for her years of service. Workman, communications director for the Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities, served on the board for the past nine years. Board members may serve up to three consecutive terms.

“Nikki has been a key member of our board, the scholarship committee, the marketing & development committee, the MarionMade! committee, the executive committee, and, of course, served as board chair,” said Dean Jacob, president and CEO of Marion Community Foundation. “She has been one of our most active board members and always devotes great time and attention to the foundation.”

“Jeremy is young, energetic, entrepreneurial, and with a keen mind for finances,” said Jacob. “He embodies a truly active board member and chair. Not only is he an active participant in committees and at meetings, he is active behind the scenes, helping to host special events and offering insights for improving the Foundation.”
