NRG Energy, one of the biggest generators and sellers of electricity in Texas, is adding a seat to its board, giving it 11 directors.
The company, based in both Princeton, N.J., and Houston, named Elisabeth Donohue to its board, effective immediately. She is an independent director and will serve on the finance and risk management committee and audit committee.
Donohue, 55, recently retired from French communications company Publicis Groupe, where she most recently was CEO of Publicis Spine, a data and technology startup launched by Publicis Groupe. She graduated from Brown University with bachelor’s degrees in organizational behavior and management and business economics.
