Geoffrey Ammann of Parrish Construction gave the Board of Education an update on the high school renovation and tennis court work the company has been working on throughout the summer.
Amman said they lack just a few things on the interior of the high school and they had expected to have been finished with the tennis courts but the courts need a certain number of days without rain and the rainy days of late have prevented the completion of the job.
Board Chairman Roger Ogilvie pointed out that during his time on the board he has gone through several renovation projects and the current work has gone very smoothly. He said everyone he has talked to was very satisfied with the job the company has done.
Director of Student Support Debbie Hobbs gave the board an update on the work being done on the school system’s strategic plan. She said they had looked at surveys from parents, students and staff, and board members, set goals and measurable objectives, and set a final meeting in late September to come to an agreement on the final plan.
Superintendent Dr. Chris Roppe, who attended the meeting virtually by telephone, commended the board members for their participation in the effort.
Dr. Roppe, speaking on behalf of the School Nutrition Department, gave information to the board but no action was necessary.
In other action, the board ….

…. agreed to purchase a trailer for the Agricultural Department.
