BLOOMINGTON (HOI) - A special meeting of the McLean County Board is scheduled for Tuesday to extend the local disaster declaration following recent flooding.
McLean County Board Chairman John McIntyre issued the declaration on Wednesday, but more time is needed beyond the seven days to clean up storm debris and assess the damage.
Damage assessment is required to see if the county is eligible for federal funding.
The county board is being asked to extend the order until July 16.
The special meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday in Room 400 of the Government Center at 115 East Washington Street in Downtown Bloomington.
