The original Jaguar E-Type is one of the most beautiful automotive designs of all time. The follow-up Series 2 and Series 3 weren't quite as pretty, though. And a Series 3 is certainly less charming with halo-style LED headlights, the hallmark of bad-taste budget builds everywhere. But we can look past all of that for what lies underneath the hood of the E-Type UK Unleashed.
E-Type UK
E-Type UK is a Jaguar restoration and restomod shop known for working magic on the more unloved examples from the E-Type's long life. Here, they've substantially upgraded this Jag's big V-12 engine. It's been bored out to 6.1 liters, fitted with electronic fuel injection, and hooked up to a ceramic-coated stainless steel exhaust. Power climbs to 400 hp, more than enough to motivate the lithe British tourer.
E-Type UK has also swapped out the original shocks for a set of adjustable units, with new torsion bars and polyurethane bushings to give this machine sharper handling. A full rework of the cooling system and upgraded brakes should allow this E-Type to cope with the added heat and speed of the fire-spitting V-12.

Styling upgrades are limited. The famed wire wheels have been upsized to accommodate the larger brakes, and louvres have been added to the hood. Not to harp on it too much, but the biggest visual change, the one you see first before everything else, is those LED headlights. Years of poorly-modified cars with flickering LED halos purchased off eBay have tarnished whatever appeal these items once had. Especially for a car known primarily for its classic styling, the halo headlights spoil the look of what is otherwise a tasteful restomod.
E-Type UK
The interior has no such flaws. E-Type UK says this cabin is entirely bespoke, with gorgeous materials throughout and an era-appropriate dash. Modern touches like Bluetooth audio and surround sound seem appropriate and don't clash with the vibe.
Altogether, E-Type UK's upgrades aren't cheap. You'll need a suitable Series 3 donor vehicle and a check for £325,000 (or $447,263 at today's exchange rate). But if you go this route, just promise us you'll pick a different set of headlights.
