Coromon: Type Chart - TheGamer

gomotar.blogspot.com

Keeping with the grand tradition of collectible monster battle games, Coromon has a wide array of attack types that can dramatically affect the outcome of a fight. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each type is essential to victory, and Coromon's matchups are different enough from other games that it can be handy to have a quick reference on hand.

We've compiled the best (and worst) types to use in each situation. If your Coromon journey is just starting out, keep this chart nearby to help you decide on the right skills for each encounter.

How Types Work In Coromon

Each Coromon has one of seven elemental types; Normal, Fire, Ice, Electric, Water, Sand, and Ghost. Additionally, every Skill has a type of its own as well. A Coromon can learn Skills that do not match its type, but Skills that match the type of their user will deal significantly more damage. This is called a Proficiency Bonus. A Coromon with the Amplified trait (currently exclusive to the Electric-type Lumon and its evolutions) more than doubles its Proficiency Bonus, making them exceptionally powerful when using Skills of their own type.

In addition to the elemental types, there are also six Skill types; Air, Cut, Foul, Heavy, Magic, and Poison. Only Skills can have these types - you'll never see a Poison-type Coromon, for example, but you might see a Water-type Coromon with Poison-type Skills. Using Skills with these additional types can give you better matchups, but since they can never match their user's type they can never earn the Proficiency Bonus.

  • Ice-type Coromon are strong defensively, taking only half damage from a whopping four different types. Just watch out for Fire and Heavy.
  • Magic Skills have no type weaknesses, making them useful as general-purpose attacks.
  • Water-type Skills have the largest number of weak matchups but also the largest number of strong matchups, meaning they need to be deployed carefully and in the right situations to be effective.
