Every Blood Type In V Rising Explained - GameSpot

gomotar.blogspot.com

Blood types are an overlooked aspect of V Rising. The game's tutorial slightly goes over the feature but it's up to the player to fully explore what blood types do in the world of Vardoran. On the face, blood types are basically different buffs for your character. Different blood types are acquired by feeding on different creatures and enemies in V Rising. The more you feed on a particular NPC, the higher quality blood type you will receive. As you increase the quality of that blood type, you'll receive additional buffs for your character. There are six total blood types in the early access build of V Rising, each possessing different buffs that are useful for the various mechanics in the game.

With the game not offering much in the way of an explanation of each blood type and their buffs, we've taken it upon ourselves to go over the system in its entirety.

Now Playing: V Rising Beginner's Guide: 7 Early Game Tips

All blood types and their buffs

We'll start by going over all six of the different blood types in V Rising, what some of their buffs are, and which enemies possess that blood type.

  1. Brute - Improves overall healing and attack speed. Gained from feeding on bandits and armored soldiers
  2. Creature - Gain an increase in movement speed, sun resistance rating, damage reduction, and healing regeneration. Gained from feeding on primarily animals
  3. Rogue - Increases critical hit rating, movement speed, and a cooldown to the Travel skill. Gained from feeding on archers, assassins, and trappers.
  4. Scholar - Boosts spell power, spell cooldown, and spell life leech. Gained from feeding on spellcasters.
  5. Warrior - Gain a boost to physical power, weapon skill cooldown, and damage reduction. Gained from feeding on armored soldiers and bandits.
  6. Worker - Increases resource yield, damage reduction from objects, mount gallop speed on horseback, and an improved chance of destroying a resource in one hit. Gained from feeding on weaker humans and NPCs.

Each of these blood types has five different tiers of quality. With each tier, you'll gain an additional buff when using the blood type. You can go up in tiers when you feed on enemies that have the same blood type you're currently using and a higher quality blood type. So if you're primarily using the Warrior blood type, you want to avoid feeding on animals or spellcasters, as this will change your blood type to Creature or Scholar. While it's rare to find enemies with higher quality blood, they are possible to feed on. We've compiled each blood type's tiered buff below.
