Version 1.31 of Melty Blood: Type Lumina has been released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The latest DLC characters announced for the game, Neco-Arc and Mash Kyrielight, have been made available via this patch.
It seems that every character has received some changes, but it's noted that the developers wanted to implement a low amount of nerfs so that players can continue using the same strategies from previous versions. Of course, plenty of fighters received buffs to their game plans as well.
In previous versions of Melty Blood: Type Lumina, every fighter had the same amount of health. It's noted in these patch notes that fighters will now have a variable amount of health. This means that certain characters will be able to survive a little longer than others now.
The Shield mechanic in previous versions of Melty Blood: Type Lumina had an extreme impact on the meta due to how easy it was to use. Needless to say, Melty Blood: Type Lumina tended to favor defensive plays over offensive ones due to the way the Shield mechanic operated.
Within patch 1.31, plenty of nerfs have been implemented for this mechanic. For example, there's now a bit more recovery time when failing to time a Shield against an attack.
As pointed out by Jiyuna, patch notes have been translated into a 22 page document. You can check them out there.
