Eevee has always been a unique species within the Pokemon world thanks to its many different evolutionary forms, and now one member of the community has used their creative talent to design a Poison-type Eevee variant of their own imagining. Eevee's distinct and adorable design has long made it a prime subject for fan art and even various custom redesigns from Pokemon fans, and while the little guy is capable of evolving into 8 different forms, fans think there's still room for more type-specific Eeveelutions.

Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon, Glaceon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and Sylveon are the eight different evolved forms in question, with each species sporting their own designs, shiny variants, and types. Though Eevee has been identified as the "Evolution Pokemon" since its debut in the very first generation of Pokemon games, only three of its evolutions were present at the time. Many of its evolved forms have appeared along with later games which gradually introduced new types, and with the most recent Eeveelution making its appearance with Pokemon X and Y in 2013, many fans think it's about time the iconic Pokemon gets some attention again.

Though each of Eevee's evolutions leverage different types, there are some types yet to be seen used by the Eevee family. This has provided the inspiration for countless fan designs, with one member of the community named umbratundra on Reddit utilizing their artistic expertise to create a Poison-type Eeveelution of their own. Dubbed "Myceleon," this colorful Eevee variant's aesthetic is fittingly inspired by mushrooms, and its creator was even keen to provide a shiny variant of the species as well.

Despite their tough technical flaws, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have significantly expanded the franchise's world with both Paradox Pokemon and the new Paldea region, which is full of its own native species. With the total number of existing Pokemon species now exceeding 1,000, fans have an even greater variety of choice than ever before when it comes to teambuilding. Surprisingly enough though, there are still various type combinations that are yet to be seen in the world of Pokemon, leaving players to wonder what kinds of new species to expect from future titles.

While the Pokemon community has a number of theories as to why it's been so long since they've seen a new variation of Eevee, the continuing parade of Eevee-themed fan art makes clear how beloved the Pokemon is to many fans. This comes as no surprise seeing as how the Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee!\ games essentially made the fluffy-tailed Pokemon a mascot for the series much like Pikachu is, and countless Eevee enthusiasts are resolute that they'll see new forms for the species one way or another in the franchise's future generations.
