TEXARKANA — New leadership is in place for the new year Texarkana Regional Chamber of Commerce officials announced this week.

Jennifer Harland is the new chairman of the board. She has been active in the local chamber in projects and various committees, including government affairs, economic development, membership programs as well as serving on the Board of Directors. She is active in the community, serving on other boards, including the Workforce Investment Board and the ARTEX-REDI board.

Stephen Mayo of Mayo Furniture as chairman-elect, James Bramlett of Farmers Bank & Trust as treasurer, Tom Gilbert of Wadley Regional Medical Center as first vice chairman, Joey Martin of Professional Staffing Services as immediate past chairman, and Michael Malone, chamber president as secretary.

The board of directors are as follows: Glen Boles of Christus St. Michael Health System, Debbie Broussard of Flowers Baking Company, Brian Daugherty of Flying Burger & Seafood; Uri Gevu of Texarkana Twins LTC, Dr. Becky Kesler of Texarkana Arkansas School District, Michael Malone CCE and chamber president, President LaTonya McElroy of BCSFM Solutions, Robert Nelson of Cooper Tire and Rubber Company (retired) and past chairman's council, Fred Norton of Norton, Wood, Floyd Attorneys and Counselors at Law, Scott Norton, TexAmericas Center, Chad Pirtle, superintendent of Pleasant Grove Independent School District, Robert Sanderson of Commercial National Bank, Russel Sparks of Hightech Signs & Greater Texarkana Young Professionals, James Tidwell of Red River Army Depot, Tina Veal-Gooch of Texarkana Independent School District, Tammy Waters of Domtar-Ashdown Mill, and Justin White of Guaranty Bank & Trust.

Ex officio members include Mayor Allen Brown of Texarkana, Arkansas; Mayor Bob Bruggeman of Texarkana, Texas; and Mayor Robert Bunch of Nash.

The chamber's professional staff includes Michael Malone CCE and president; Robbin Bass, director of business retention & expansion; Natalie Haywood, director of events & communications; Laura Lile, director of finance; Lindsey Woodson, partner information coordinator; and Hannah Wren, director of partner development.

Texarkana USA Regional Chamber of Commerce, with offices at 819 N. State Line Ave., represents more than 800 businesses, organizations, and professionals in the greater Texarkana area. It has been active in community development, government relations, business development, membership services and tourism for more than 100 years.
