NEWTON, NJ —The Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the election of a new member to our Board of Directors. Stan Kula, Executive Director of the Sussex County Community College Foundation, joins the existing Board of nine volunteers who each serve three-year terms.
Mr. Kula brings experience in public service, having served as Mayor on the Hardyston Town Council, as well as expertise in fundraising, event management and volunteer management. His lengthy list of credentials includes positions at many higher education institutions, such as Centenary University, Caldwell University, and Yale University, as well as a Master’s degree in Leadership and Public Administration and certification as a Fundraising Executive.
“Working at Sussex County Community College, I see so many opportunities for businesses, the College, and the GNCC to work together to enhance life here in Sussex County. The GNCC and SCCC share a common goal--to meet the needs of our businesses and our residents, now and into the future. I am honored to serve on the GNCC Board,” said Mr. Kula.
The GNCC was founded in 1942 and has been serving the greater Newton business community since. The Chamber assists in establishing new businesses, relocating existing businesses, and assisting its members with their specific needs. It sponsors many public events throughout the year and has created educational scholarships to help support the future leaders of our area. Local businesses and individuals are invited to join the GNCC.
