STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Community Board 2 will host a presentation on the citywide “Zoning for Coastal Flood Resiliency’' plan during its full board meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m.

The citywide text amendment is to update and make permanent the temporary 2013 Citywide Flood text amendment. It encourages long-term resilient design across the city’s 1% and 0.2% annual chance floodplains, allowing buildings to be adapted over time through partial resiliency strategies, and providing the zoning tools necessary to facilitate recovery after future disasters.

Anyone wishing to attend must fill out the webinar registration form. It can be found at www.cb2si.com.

Community Board 1′s Mariner’s Harbor/Port Richmond/Elm Park/Arlington Area Committee will also meet on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m.

The committee will discuss the Kill van Kull deepening. There will also be a COVID-19 update. Additionally, the committee will consider liquor license renewals for the following businesses: San Mateo Restaurant, 244 Port Richmond Ave.; Romance Bar & Restaurant, 163 Van Pelt Ave., and Déjà vu Sports Bar, 297 Port Richmond Ave.
