Texarkana College will hold a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees this morning where they will consider a lease with the TexAmericas Center.
The board will first open regular business to take action to approve the consent agenda, then will look over personnel items.
Following this, they will consider the completion of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, which will include training for members of governing boards.
After discussing an update from the Texas Association of School Boards, they will get into the lease agreement with TexAmericas.
Next on the agenda is the consideration of approval for the refinancing of a maintenance tax note, as well as an audit report.
After reports from College President Dr. Jason Smith, Vice President of Finance Kim Jones, Vice President of Instruction Dr. Donna McDaniel and Dean of Students Robert Jones, the board will consider going into a closed session before adjourning.
The meeting will be held virtually at 11:30 a.m. today.
