ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Maryland State Board of Elections today approved vote center locations submitted by 17 local boards of elections. The State Board of Elections has now approved 67 early voting centers and 255 election day vote centers statewide.

The State Board of Elections approved vote center plans in the following counties:

Anne Arundel County; Baltimore County; Caroline County; Carroll County; Charles County; Garrett County; Harford County; Howard County; Kent County; Montgomery County; Prince George’s County; Somerset County; St. Mary’s County; Talbot County; Washington County; Wicomico County, and Worcester County.

Vote centers are selected by local boards of elections. For a list of vote centers in a specific jurisdiction, contact the local board of elections. Contact information for local boards is available at https://elections.maryland.gov/about/county_boards.html. A complete list of approved vote centers will be available on the Board’s website in the near future.

The State Board of Elections also encouraged Marylanders to sign up to serve as election judges. Allegany County is looking for Democratic judges. Baltimore City and Baltimore, Montgomery, Prince Georges’, and Talbot Counties are looking for Republican judges. The majority of local boards report they can now staff all of their voting locations, but all counties still need substitute judges. To sign up to become an election judge, visit elections.maryland.gov.

Some voters who requested a ballot before Aug. 6 may still receive a ballot application in the mail. This may happen if a voter’s request was not processed before Aug. 6. These voters should go online to verify their application has been processed at https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/VoterSearch. It is not necessary to send in two ballot requests. Ballot applications come with a postage-paid return envelope to make it easy and free for voters to request ballots.

The State Board of Elections also encourages voters to verify the accuracy of their voter registration information at https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/VoterSearch.

The next meeting of the Board is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4 at 1 pm and can be viewed live at https://elections.maryland.gov/about/board.html.
