BRUNSWICK, Ohio --- After two terms on the Brunswick City Schools board of education, including four years as board president, Grant Relic announced his resignation from the board Aug. 4, citing personal reasons.

In an Aug. 4 press release, district officials called Relic “a valued leader (who) will be missed.”

“Brunswick City Schools would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Relic for his service to the school system and community,” the release stated.

Relic has lived and operated his law practice, Grant D. Relic Co., LPA, in Brunswick since 1979. He has been a practicing attorney for over 40 years.

Relic previously served Brunswick Schools as an assistant baseball coach for 14 years and the "Voice" of Sports Beat on local Channel 22.

The Board of Education is seeking qualified candidates who live within the Brunswick City School District to complete Relic’s current term, through Dec. 31, 2021. Candidates must submit a written notice of interest to Board President, Rich Nowak, at 3643 Center Road, Brunswick, OH 44212, no later than August 14.
